Our team was asked to reconfigure and update the current shared kitchen which is located between two cafeterias. The cooking equipment and hood were located in between the two serving lines and lines were located inside the kitchen area.
The hood and cooking equipment, prep area, and dishwashing were relocated and reconfigured. New combination ovens were installed, and the new walk-in cooler/freezer were moved outside to make room for the reconfigured space.
The servery area was relocated to the front of the space with access to both cafeterias but separate from the kitchen. The new serving lines have solid surface counter tops and tray slides, hot and cold stations, and the space has an updated décor showing pride in the schools Thunderbird Café.
