Original to the building, the old kitchen and cafeteria was far too small and inadequate for the district’s current needs. The plan was to add a new addition with a new cafeteria and kitchen with all new equipment.
The new kitchen was designed to have a large walk-in cooler and freezer, large dry storage, attractive new serving lines, full-service cooking line up, plenty of prep space, and a vegetable washing station for the farm-to-school program. A totally new décor with a stone wall, booths, high tops, and traditional seating finished off the new cafeteria.
New décor and plenty of natural light are a big hit in the new cafeteria. A spacious new kitchen is supported by new cooking equipment, preparation space, and cold and dry storage. The serving area is also colorful and attractive.
