The school district wanted to change the operation from a warming kitchen to a full-service cooking facility. The plans included completely renovating the kitchen and cafeteria with all new equipment.
The new kitchen is tight due to available space but has a full range of cooking equipment. A walk-in cooler and freezer was installed outside to maximize interior space, which they did not have before. The cafeteria renovation included the installation of all new serving lines and serving equipment, complete with a pizza oven in sight of the students so they could see that operation right in front of them. The new space provides a better flow and increased efficiency, along with more equipment to serve the students for years to come.
